Bowie
The Bowie knife is a true legend, perhaps more than a knife. The classic big blade, arguably better known than the Japanese tanto or the Gurkha kukri. Bowies have been made in countless sizes, shapes and materials over the past two centuries, but most share the same hallmarks: a crossguard and a long clip-point blade with a sharpened swedge. No wonder makers all over the world build them: for many people, the Bowie silhouette is simply what a knife looks like.
